    FAR FAR OUT
    BEYOND THE FAR HORIZON
    WAY BEYOND US
    WIND SWEPT SWELLS
    RISE INTO BEING
    LONGING FOR THIS SHORE

    ON AND ON THEY ROLL
    BENEATH THE ENDESS SKY
    ON AND ON
    ONE BY ONE
    TOWARD THE DISTANT
    WAITING SAND

    THEN, SO NEAR
    THEIR RECEDING KIN
    RAISE THEM UP
    ONE BY ONE
    TO A GLORIOUS PEAK
    CURVING, CRASHING DOWN
    RUSHING TOWARD
    THEIR BELOVED SHORE
    REACHING REACHING FORWARD
    WITH ALL THEIR WANING MIGHT
    TILL
    AT LAST
    THEY STOP
    END
    RECEDE
TO TOPPLE THEIR NEXT OF KIN
